Tongji University, Shanghai

On the way out of the campus and heading for dinner after the swim, stopping by the front entrance of the campus for a fun shot.
The map serves to orient freshmen going around the campus. Guess it's a booth set up to help freshmen for info on campus.
The large info display below shows locations of dormitories, for year 2008 freshmen, on Siping
Road campus .

Swimming at Tongji University Swimming Hall

Some sceneries on the way to the University...

Oh, my...someone dressed up actually slept under the tree by the bus stop.

Rules to follow at the Tongji Swimming Hall
Entrance fees

After the swim, we waited for Sunny's (second from left) cousin brother Huang Qi who goes to the Tongji University. First from left is Yang Zhisheng, also a good swimming; of course, he was born next to the South China Sea.

This is me...also taking a shot to remember my leisure day off on Saturday afternoon here at the Swimming Hall.

Lo-Ching

Lo-Ching is back in town to do painting exhibition.
He will be showing his works at Sunbow, Moganshan from Sept. 5th through Oct. 5th, 2008. Including his modernistic poems, he is one ink-paining artist that I like very much.
In fact, I finally got to meet him after so many years of occasional following his whereabouts.
I 'knew' him through a friend who sent me one of his poetry books that I have kept for the last two decades.
Earlier when found out he was in town showing but missing out meeting him the first few times, I scheduled to meet him but only at his curated show of his artist friend, also showing at the same venue mentioned just now (see previous blog).
After receiving the email with attached pictures shown below about his up and coming show, the pictures are downloaded for notation of this particular blog.
These ink-paintings shown speak for themselves and especially for Lo-Ching as an artist.

A Small Town called Jiji 集集小镇
Hopping into Ms. Li's leather store located at Stone Framed Door Road One soon after work, I bought from Ms. Li several wallets, purses and a handbag all for friends in KL when I shall fly back to KL this coming early October. Later, after some time chatting and hanging out in the small store, Sunny, Ms. Li and I went for a whopping multi-course small-dish dinner, all hailed from a small town named Jiji in Taiwan. We had pork congee, dandan noodle with stewed egg, several sausages, egg rolls, glutinous rice wrapped in bamboo leaves, pan-fried pork, and large mugs of soybean drinks. Ms. Li was generous enough to pick up the tab. We continued chatting during this sumptuous dinner.
