Chinese New Year's Eve
Where I was once here during the Year of Pig 2007 two years ago, this is the home of Su Demei who has invited me to stay over again for this Year of Ox 2009.
Su Demei's family unit with his loving wife Zhang Qingqing and very obedient son.
A simple but hearty lunch on the New Year's Eve.
Many in the family get involved with road construction or repair works.
Later in the evening, a whopping dinner is served. More dishes to come but not shown below.
The eldest brother adds more goodie to the boiling and steaming hotpot.
After the hearty dinner, all are prepared but stay warm in the bed to see the 4 over hours long Spring Festival Gala show on TV.

This is essentially a simple and easy evening to usher in the Chinese New Year with temperature out there close to zero.
