Medan and Lake Toba, Indonesia
Oct. 1st – 4th, 2008
Ferry Crossing

Arriving at the land of Batak after crossing the lake... Batak is an ethnic type of Malay race; however, they are Christians. Everywhere were found European influenced Christian churches, though not oriented with entrance facing West, they are already adapated to their current appearance without original elements but retaining the form of the church.
Note neck scarves are sold due to Lake Toba's lower temperature at night. The morning hours can be chilly.
