Early Bloom of Spring 2009

With recent spates and occasional balmy days, coupled with days of heavy overcast followed by cloudy sky, and warming trend soon replaced by weak cold front, this typical beginning of spring has caught many off guard with regard to dressing up or down from day to day and from early morning till late evening.

Blessed with plenty of showers and sunshine, this typical weather is expected to bring ecstatic bloom to nature, from budding to flowering and greening.

Guess within a week or two, the much anticipated full bloom shall stir many outpour for spring rite out in the parks and country sides. The country side of Shanghai, Nanhui has already drummed up news about the up and coming Plum Blossom Festival.

Seeing sunshine this morning and out to catch some rays for the sake of vitamin D(aylight), these selected shots at the Cherry Park evidently show the early sakura bloom or cherry blossom. The Cherry Park is located right by the Exit No. 1 of Dongchang Station and within a short walking distance to the Pudong Financial District.
